Tips and Advice for Caring and Storing your Wedding Accessories

Caring for your veil

When you receive your veil, carefully remove it from the plastic sleeve and hang it from the center of the comb with the teeth pointing toward the ceiling and the material hanging straight down.  Most of the wrinkles on your veil should come out when it's hanging; however, if it's still wrinkled, try the hot shower or the dry clean method.  With the hot shower method, hang your veil in the bathroom with a hot shower running.  The steam from the shower will get the wrinkles out without damaging the fabric.  With the dry clean method, simply take your veil to an experienced bridal dry cleaner and have them steam it.  If your veil has accents make sure to let it cool completely before moving or shaking it.  Do not use an iron on your veil -- it may melt the fabric.  Steaming it works best.

Storing your veil

To store your veil, we recommend hanging it as before and covering it loosely with a white cotton fabric.  If the veil is longer, drape it over a coat hanger. Draping it will keep the fabric off the floor and keep additional wrinkles from forming over time.

Caring for your headpiece

Our headpieces are detailed with sterling silver, freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals.

To keep the sparkle of the piece, try to apply hairspray before putting your tiara on. Spraying hairspray on your tiara will dull the stones and tarnish the metal faster.

Storing your headpiece

Humidity can tarnish your headpiece.  Keep it in the box with acid free paper.
